Il primo gruppo di "Foto del Passato", contiene immagini prese nella prima meta' del ventesimo secolo, alcune in bianco e nero ed altre a colore, diapositive emesse sul mercato dalla Kodak in quegli anni, rare fotografie di grande valore storico ed artistico.

The first group of "Photos of the Past," contain images from the first half of the 20th Century, in black and white and color. The first slides in color introduced by Kodak Co. at that time; photographs of great historic and artistic value.

Il meraviglioso paesaggio delle Saline remane ancora li' dopo piu di 2,000 anni, testimone della genialita' e fattivita' del Trapanese.

The marvelous landscape of the "Saline" endures after 2,000 years as witness to the geniality and industriousness of the Trapanese people.

Il secondo gruppo "Foto del Presente" contiene esemplari di foto delle Saline scattate piu di 50 anni dopo. Le due serie mostrano le trasformazioni avvenute nel tempo, specie della raccolta, trasporto del sale con chiare immagini di straordinaria bellezza, i mulini, le vasche di sale, la ruota di Archimede, non sono cambiate.

The second group of "Present Photos," contains images taken toward the latter part of the 20th Century, about 50 years apart from the first set. The two groups considered together, with vivid images of extraordinary beauty, reveal, that except for the more efficient collection and transportation of the salt , little has changed. The windmills, the vast pools of sea water, the wheel of Archimede remain the same.
